About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Canberra, Australia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading a sales team and driving revenue growth across hardware, software, and services in the Federal Government sector.

Job Description

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be accountable for achieving bookings and revenue targets while guiding a team of Account Managers and working closely with cross-functional teams. You will formulate and drive a comprehensive focus across the full solution lifecycle, lead all aspects of the region's go-to-market strategy, and maintain strong relationships with key business decision-makers and stakeholders within federal government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire, Develop, and Retain Top Sales Talent: Attract, develop, and retain top-performing sales talent for the Federal Government territory.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and execute strategies to exceed sales objectives using direct and extended team resources.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key business decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within federal government agencies.
  • Pursue New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including tenders, contracts, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Provide Accurate Forecasts: Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and regular reporting on sales performance.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, government policies, and the competitive landscape.
  • Represent the Company: Represent the company at industry events to promote solutions and create brand awareness.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in the public sector.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in managing a sales team in the technology sector, preferably within the public sector and/or Federal Government accounts.
  • Track Record: Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Understanding: Strong understanding of the Australian public sector procurement process and government contracting.
  • Relationships: Established relationships in the Australian Federal government.

Benefits and Compensation

This role offers a highly competitive salary of $AUD 150,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and bonuses.
