About the Role

This is a highly sought-after leadership position that requires an experienced and skilled professional to drive the reform of mental health services in Tasmania. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality, consumer-centered mental health services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing visionary leadership and direction to the Statewide Mental Health Services Executive Leadership team;
  • Developing and implementing policies, programs, and initiatives to improve mental health outcomes across the age continuum;
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to build partnerships and advance the reform agenda;
  • Leading the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and care coordination;
  • Providing expert advice to senior executives on matters related to mental health policy and reform.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Tasmanian healthcare system and be able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to achieve the government's mental health reform objectives.

They will also possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire others, as well as a proven track record of delivering results in complex, dynamic environments.
