AOD Sector Reform Specialist

The position of Senior Project Officer requires a professional to provide strategic leadership in planning, development and implementation of recommendations related to Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) Alcohol and Other Drugs (AoD) Sector Reform.
This role involves supporting organisational change development, implementation and review of frameworks, policies, systems, and processes that support key project deliverables to be achieved within identified target dates.
Definitive high-level strategic advice will be provided to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to various meetings, be a positive role model and advocate for reform.
Collaboration with other SMHS Reform Project Officers is required to ensure consistent and integrated delivery of strategic reform programs across SMHS.
Highly effective and productive relationships and networks will be developed with internal and external stakeholders.
Project management functions associated with the SMHS Reform Program will be undertaken in a health services environment including AoD system linkages with external agencies.
Strategies, plans, policies, systems, and processes for evidence-based service delivery frameworks will be formulated in accordance with the project plan and relevant legislation, Government policy, contemporary practice, and quality guidelines.
Leadership will be provided to establish goals and strategies, and drive the implementation and ongoing management of AoD Sector Reform initiatives associated with the project.
