About the Role

As a Youth Development Coordinator, you will be part of a team that provides support to young people in need of a safe and nurturing environment.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and act as a positive role model for young people;
  • Help them develop social skills, manage conflicts, and build healthy relationships;
  • Assist with their physical and emotional well-being;
  • Administer program records and maintain accurate documentation.

The core hours of work include night and weekend shifts, with opportunities for staff meetings and training provided by the organization.

About You

You are passionate about the welfare of children and committed to achieving the best outcomes for them.

To be suitable for this position, you should have:

  • A Certificate IV in a relevant child welfare course or equivalent qualification;
  • Demonstrated experience working in residential care or with young people in a child protection context;
  • Solid experience supporting young people with emotional and psychological needs;
  • A valid driver's license (P2 or above);
  • The ability to obtain necessary certifications, including a National Police Check and Working with Children clearance.

What We Offer

This is a permanent position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
