Mentor and Caregiver for Youth

About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. As a Youth Worker, you will provide support in a safe and supportive environment, helping them build positive social skills and assisting with their physical and emotional well-being.
The core hours of work will include night and weekend shifts, requiring flexibility and resilience. You will also be required to attend staff meetings and compulsory training provided by the organisation.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications;

Your Qualifications and Experience
- A Certificate IV in a relevant child welfare course or enrolled and working towards completion;
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge working in residential care; and/or working with young people in a child protection or community service context;
- Solid experience working with young people who have significant emotional and psychological support needs;
- A current driver's licence, P2 or above;
- The ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card (Working with Children), and a Licensed Care Services (LCS) certification.
