Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the management of our manufacturing operations, driving business growth and excellence in a dynamic industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with a proven track record in operations management, quality systems implementation, and project management. As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes, implementing efficiency improvements, and driving business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the production team, foster innovation and quality, align operational goals with 2IC.
  • Business Development and Customer Relations: Sourcing new opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities in the caravan and RV industry.
  • Project Management: Overseeing multiple fabrication projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards, coordinating with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Quality Management: Implementing ISO9001, driving continuous improvement, preparing the business for industry accreditation.
  • Operational Efficiency: Developing strategies to stabilise workflows, optimise resource allocation and production scheduling, collaborating with 2IC to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilising Autodesk Inventor for design and production planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in operations management within manufacturing or fabrication industries.
  • Strong background in the building industry, with additional manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing quality management systems, preferably ISO9001.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.
  • Experience in project management and client relations.
  • Knowledge of RV and caravan industry standards (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Analytical thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
