Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on automated equipment and systems used in our manufacturing process.

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated material handling systems, wrapping, packaging, and labelling equipment, extrusion presses and downstream systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in PLC and VSD systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens).
  • Respond to breakdowns efficiently and prioritise tasks to minimise downtime.
  • Optimise machine performance and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Work closely with other trades (mechanical, fabrication) to maintain plant uptime.
  • Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and management teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSDs (Siemens experience also valued), and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A current QLD Electrical Trade Certificate / Licence.
  • Proven experience in automated or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs and VSDs (Siemens experience also valued).
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
