About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within the Workforce Strategy and Transformation Team at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ). The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the bank's workforce strategy and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive workforce strategy that aligns with the bank's business objectives.
  • Lead the development of organizational playbooks for workforce strategy development.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on select major programs and projects across the capability.
  • Collaborate with WS&T Portfolio owners to problem-solve workforce strategy development approaches.
  • Monitor adherence to standards within the area of expertise and ensure alignment with Workforce Strategy Execution, Programmatic Analytics, Reporting Delivery, and other WS&T Strategic Capabilities.
  • Ensure business readiness assessments are applied for new workforce strategy development projects.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in emerging trends, practices, and information in the area of expertise.
  • Support the Head of Workforce Strategy & Analytics in working with WS&T Portfolio Owners, other W&ST LT, and wider T&C to understand and plan for workforce capability needs.
  • Owning and managing the service proposition for Workforce Strategy.
  • Supporting management of the total capability pool available to deliver projects.
  • Responsible for the personal development, performance reviews, and capability uplift of direct reports.
  • Coaching and development planning on expertise and personal development.
  • Share insights and knowledge of own expertise with Project Leads/members and organization.
  • Supporting the Head of Workforce Strategy & Analytics with input into WS&T governance.

Requirements

  • Deep and extensive expertise in the specialist discipline and a proven ability to innovate and stay up to date.
  • Ability to actively connect outside and inside ANZ to leverage latest thinking, providing practical/relevant ideas, improvements, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Ability to apply expertise in novel and ambiguous contexts to problem-solve complex organizational issues.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, agile, and often ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders, creating a shared purpose that brings people together to deliver outstanding outcomes aligned to a mission.
  • Ability to be a connector – acutely aware of teams and stakeholders in a way that you know when and how to leverage the expertise of others to deliver.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interact with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
