Business Development and Community Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team at the Garvan Research Foundation.

As a key member of our Corporate and Community Partnerships team, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and building community and corporate support and income. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional and responsive service to internal and external stakeholders with varied and individualised needs.

Salary: AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience or education in fundraising, marketing, business, communications, or related field. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as outstanding attention to detail and time management skills.

You will also have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, experience in event planning and project management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporter care: Provide warm, timely, and professional support to incoming community fundraising requests, including thank you and welcome calls.
  • Fundraising Strategy: Coordinate fundraising campaigns for third-party community fundraising and peer-to-peer events.
  • Donor journey/stewardship: Customise engagement activities for community and corporate supporters.
