Indigenous Programs and Community Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indigenous Programs and Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team at AFL Australia. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in Western Sydney.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the delivery of in-school and after-school programs in the Western Sydney Indigenous Academies, with a focus on educational goals, school attendance, and transitioning students into further education and employment opportunities.
- Maintain good relationships with key stakeholders across the Blacktown and Campbelltown partner schools, including Principals and Aboriginal Education Officers.
- Increase education, employment, and health outcomes for Academy students, in partnership with other service providers in Western Sydney.
- Mentor, motivate, and inspire Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to reach their potential.
- Assist Academy students to access opportunities to educational and employment pathways.
- Mentor and manage casual program staff.
- General office administrative tasks.
- Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- High School Certificate.
- Certificate qualification in community, health, youth work, social work, or other related area.
- Class C Driver's license with reliable vehicle.
- Working with Children Check.
- National Police Certificate.
The estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
