Category Growth Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Category Growth Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of major product categories while building meaningful partnerships with top suppliers.


About the Role

This is a strategic and hands-on position that requires strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making. As a Category Growth Specialist, you will be empowered to own your category's growth, shape customer experiences, and develop impactful business solutions.


You will leverage your commercial acumen and negotiation skills to structure deals that drive mutual growth and optimize business terms. This involves both strategic thinking and tactical execution, as you will navigate senior stakeholder relationships and influence decisions that impact category performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive category P&L performance through data-driven decision-making
  • Build and nurture relationships with vendor partners to grow our joint business
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations with key vendors and strategic partners
  • Analyse market trends and customer insights to enhance shopping experience
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives while maintaining clear communication

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • 7+ years of experience with Excel
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications would be beneficial:


  • MBA
  • Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • 7+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
