Strategic Category Lead

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to oversee the strategic management of food categories within our business. This role will involve working with stakeholders across the organisation to develop and execute 1–3 year category plans aligned with our sourcing strategy.
The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement or sourcing, ideally within Manufacturing, Retail, or FMCG, and a proven expertise in food ingredient procurement. They will also possess strong negotiation skills and a sound understanding of Commercial and Contract Law.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute category plans aligned with our sourcing strategy.
- Analyse industry trends, risks, and opportunities to drive category strategies.
- Build strong supplier partnerships, lead negotiations, and oversee supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and/or Business Administration.
- 5–7 years' experience in procurement or sourcing.
- Proven expertise in food ingredient procurement (Dry Goods, Grocery, Food Service).
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to "read" the market.
- Sound understanding of Commercial and Contract Law.
