  • Provide personal support and guidance to consumers, promoting a safe and sanitary living environment.">
  • Model traits such as personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and hopefulness, inspiring positive change in those around you.">
  • Refer and link consumers to community resources, empowering them to achieve their goals.">
  • Attend meetings and consumer staffings, helping to develop programs that promote recovery and wellness.">
  • Work collaboratively with co-workers, supervisors, and facility staff members to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A bachelor's degree and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification or Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CRADC) certification in good standing with the State of Illinois.">
  • Or a bachelor's degree with five years' mental health, substance use, or other social service experience and obtain CADC within two years of hire.">
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, email, and electronic medical records (EMRs).">
  • A valid driver's license and private automobile insurance.">
