Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Expert to join our team at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Australia's leading independent law firm.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned business development professional to contribute to the growth and success of our Banking and Finance practice groups.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development initiatives, identifying opportunities, and building relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with our Senior Business Development Manager, nominated practice groups, and clients to achieve business objectives.

You will have a proven track record in commercial business initiatives, experience in pitching and drafting tenders, and strong project management skills. Your ability to prioritize and manage expectations, as well as stakeholder management and influencing skills, will be highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • Drive business development initiatives to support the growth of our Banking and Finance practice groups.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research and communication.
  • Provide business development advice on best practice tender and credential management.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Business Development Manager and practice groups to develop and implement business plans.
Requirements
  • Marketing degree or relevant business qualification.
  • 3+ years business development experience gained within professional services (such as legal or financial services).
  • Strong proprietary attitude; demonstrated drive and initiative with an innovative mindset.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
