This key role is a 3 year, full-time position with an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.

Organisational Overview

The organisation amplifies the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. It advocates for system-wide change to improve access to justice, eliminate systemic violence, and strengthen women's resilience.

The organisation delivers holistic, culturally safe, specialist family violence support, legal services and case management, alongside cultural and wellbeing workshops, and programs. Its services have state-wide reach, touching every part of Victoria to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. Self-determination is the foundation of everything it does.

Job Description

As a Program And Service Development Lead, you will lead program design, development, implementation and continuous improvement arising from the organisational strategic plan and business as usual activities.

Demonstrated research and program development experience, project delivery, stakeholder management and communication skills are essential to success in this role.

This role will be located primarily in Collingwood with regular meetings just down the road at the Head Office in Abbotsford.

Key Requirements:
  • Undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications (or equivalent significant experience) in Community Services, Community Development, and/or Project Management of community, advocacy & service delivery projects.
  • Postgraduate or technical (short courses) qualifications in program development/program management/monitoring/evaluation.
  • A Working with Children Check Card
  • A Police Check
  • A current driver's license is essential. Some out-of-hours travel, regular regional travel and/or overnights may be required.
