
Multidisciplinary Community Support Specialist

This is a multidisciplinary team role focused on creating safer, stronger, and more supported communities across East Gippsland.
The aim of this role is to provide holistic responses to families experiencing family violence, perpetrators seeking accountability and change, and families needing support with the care, development and wellbeing of children and young people.
An integrated team brings together staff from various sectors to provide client-centred responses.
The RoleAs a Child Wellbeing Practitioner, you will work closely with families to ensure children and young people are safe, supported, and thriving. You will undertake assessments and planning to promote safety, stability, and wellbeing, applying professional judgement to address complex needs and risks.
You will work collaboratively with other practitioners and service partners, placing children's voices, culture, and development at the centre of every decision.
Supporting day-to-day by a Team Leader, with additional guidance from Practice Leaders and management.
Key Requirements- Experience supporting children and families with complex needs in areas such as family services, child protection, family violence, mental health, disability, housing, or alcohol and other drugs.
- A degree in Social Work (or equivalent), or currently working towards one.
- A compassionate, strengths-based approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
