About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality services to individuals with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities.
  • This leader will guide, coach, and review positive behaviour support plans with support from their Practice Lead.
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve service delivery and meet output targets.
  • Mentoring Behaviour Support Practitioners and reviewing their work to ensure best practice is maintained.
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve goals and objectives, and participating in annual performance reviews.
  • Establishing partnerships with service providers, community agencies, and government bodies to drive outcomes for our clients.
Requirements
  • A degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Developmental Education, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in mentoring Behaviour Support Practitioners and peer reviewing their work.
  • An in-depth understanding of good clinical practice, jurisdictional requirements, and the context in which Behaviour Support is provided.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and contemporary practices in service provision for individuals with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities.
  • Endorsement as a Proficient or Advanced Practitioner in Behaviour Support.
