The Behavioural Support Professional plays a pivotal role in providing expertise to staff in positive behaviour support and therapeutic support. The primary responsibility is to utilise knowledge and experience to provide evidence-based and behaviour-focused supports to clients in various environments, addressing the underlying causes of behaviours of concern or challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement behaviour support plans to promote positive outcomes for clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, education).
- Proven experience working with individuals with complex needs.
- Strong understanding of positive behaviour support principles and practices.
