About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Administrative Officer to join our team at NSW Health. As an Administration Officer, you will provide clerical and administrative support to our clinical and non-clinical teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to enquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and manage telephone enquiries, ensuring that all calls are answered promptly and efficiently.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including medical, nursing, and allied health teams, to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Work collaboratively with our teams to achieve our goals and objectives, providing administrative support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases, using computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and databases.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a health setting or frontline customer service role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work constructively and efficiently with both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of tact, diplomacy, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Demonstrated high level of organizational skills, with the ability to meet timeframes and prioritize workloads.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of computer applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and databases.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
