The RoleWe're seeking a skilled Pet Health Claims Assessor to join our team. As a key member of our Pet Health Team, you'll be responsible for administering claims in a timely and efficient manner while delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary duties will include:
- Assessing claims accurately through reviewing veterinary histories and policy documentation
- Obtaining complete and accurate information regarding claim circumstances
- Liaising with internal veterinary officers and external veterinary clinics or hospitals when necessary
- Responding to customer calls and providing excellent phone service in addressing claims queries
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer complaints and resolving these through active listening
We're seeking an individual with:
- Experience working in a veterinary-based environment or prior pet claims team experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a warm and empathetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure
- A keenness to learn and develop
- Confidence to take responsibility for claims determination and acceptance
- A strong team player who works well in collaboration with others and actively participates in team discussions and activities
