Pet Insurance Claim Assessor

The Role
As a Claims Assessor for Pet Insurance, you will be responsible for administering claims in a timely manner while delivering consistently high levels of customer service. The role is primarily site-based in our office. Your main duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assessing claims accurately through reviewing veterinary histories and policy documentation to determine the correct outcome of customer claims
- Obtaining complete and accurate information regarding circumstances surrounding submitted claims
- Liaising with our internal veterinary officers and external veterinary clinic or hospital staff when necessary
- Responding to incoming customer calls and providing excellent phone service in addressing claims queries
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer complaints and resolving these through listening
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with experience working in a veterinary-based environment or prior pet claims team experience. You should have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a warm and empathetic attitude. You'll also need the ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure. A keenness to learn and develop, confidence to take responsibility for claims determination and acceptance, and a strong team player who works well in collaboration with others are all essential.
