
Senior Operations Director

This key leadership role involves collaborating closely with the Chief Executive Officer to drive operational performance, strategic initiatives, and stakeholder engagement across Wellington sites.
The successful candidate will provide high-level support and strategic advice to the CEO and Board, leading and supporting executive management, team leaders, and staff to ensure high performance and alignment with organisational goals.
- Drive new business development opportunities and sustainability strategies.
- Oversee delivery of quality primary healthcare and community programs.
- Represent the organisation in external forums, building strong relationships with government, partners, and community stakeholders.
To be successful, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer will have a degree in social work, human services or business (preferred qualification) or a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
A strong understanding of Aboriginal health, wellbeing, and cultural safety is essential, as is demonstrated experience in business development, strategic planning, and operational leadership. The ideal candidate will possess excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, financial acumen, risk management, and governance experience.
Mandatory compliance requirements include a Certificate of Aboriginality, previous experience in Aboriginal Health, Australian Drivers Licence, Working With Children Check, Proof of COVID vaccination, National Criminal Record Check, and Generous not-for-profit salary packaging.
Aboriginality is a genuine qualification authorised under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
