The role of a Security Officer in Defence and Industry involves providing a security presence, remaining alert and focused, and being part of an enthusiastic and customer-focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises regularly
- Monitor surveillance cameras and equipment
- Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
- Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel and visitors
- Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings to supervisors
- Respond to alarms or suspicious noises in a timely manner
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity
Requirements:
- Current SA Security License and Driver's license
- Certificate 2 and/or Certificate 3 in Security Operations
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Excellent observational and surveillance skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Current First Aid Certificate
