Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Mercure Sydney Blacktown. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of dedicated staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office team, working closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Supervise and monitor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Take initiative to resolve guest complaints and challenges, ensuring a positive and productive experience for all guests.
  • Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Process and assist with check-in and check-out of guests, responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Assist with preparation and service of all-day dining orders and cafe orders.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in the hotel industry, with a strong understanding of hotel operations and customer service principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.
  • Hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
