We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Mercure Sydney Blacktown. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the hotel's operation, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of front office staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and oversee the day-to-day operations of the front office team, working closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage teams.
- Supervise and monitor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
- Take initiative to resolve guest complaints and challenges, ensuring a positive and productive experience for all guests.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the hotel's operation in the absence of the general manager or front office manager.
- Process and assist with check-in and check-out of guests, responding to and coordinating emergency situations.
- Assist with the preparation and service of all-day dining orders and cafe orders.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in the hotel industry, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opera.
- Guest-obsessed focus, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Leadership qualities, with the ability to extend yourself to assist colleagues where needed, maintaining high levels of communication with other departments.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
