Insurance Claim Examiner

We are seeking an experienced Loss Adjuster to evaluate insurance claims and manage a portfolio of Latent Defect Claims on both a delegated and retained authority basis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of building regulations, construction law, and insurance law, and be able to effectively communicate with industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate insurance claims and manage a portfolio of Latent Defect Claims.
- Conduct site visits to investigate causation and cover.
- Review reports and gather information to fully investigate each claim.
- Liaise with Surveyors, Engineers, Solicitors, and Insurers to discuss claims and agree investigation strategies.
- Manage your diary to ensure optimum use of time and resources, meeting all agreed deadlines.
- Update the Claims Management Portal System to ensure all claim loss adjusting records are accurate and complete.
- Experience in managing construction claims, including simple and complex claims.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of building regulations, construction law, and insurance law, and their practical applications in the industry.
- Able to quickly build positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
