Overview

As a Tesco Insurance Money Services Claims Handler, you'll be supporting our car and home insurance customers. Your role will cover the claims process from initial notification to resolution in some cases, with a focus on delivering a positive customer experience. Tesco Underwriting began life in 2010 and underwrites Tesco insurance policies and provides a claims service to our customers.

Where you will be working

After initial onsite training and reaching competency, you will have the choice to be office based or to work hybrid from home via our 'Moments that Matter' model. In this blended working model, you'll work from our office or spend time working from home and come together with colleagues for important moments, such as team meetings, personal development conversations, and social activities.

Responsibilities
  • Gather information related to the customer's initial loss notification to ensure accurate capture of claims for the next step in the claims process
  • Question circumstances of the incident to make the correct liability decision
  • Explore the option to settle the claim on the first contact where appropriate
  • Secure services for customers, including repair, mobility, and salvage options, through our dedicated suppliers
  • Manage existing claims queries from customers, third parties, and suppliers to ensure the efficient progress of the claim
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction, upholding consumer duty responsibilities and doing the right thing for the customer
You will need
  • Customer service experience
  • Target-driven with experience working to KPIs in a busy environment and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to make decisions based on information presented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and empathy skills
  • Comfortable with technology and the ability to use Microsoft Office
  • A passion for delivering an excellent customer experience and finding the best outcome for our customers
