Role Overview

The Safety Health and Sustainability Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and health of employees and the environment. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing safety management plans, conducting risk assessments, and providing advice and support to site managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety management plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards to develop effective risk control measures.
  • Provide advice and support to site managers on safety-related matters, including training and development programs.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and third-party site representatives to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement inspection and audit programs to monitor and improve safety performance.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a safety management role, preferably in a heavy industry environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
