Change Analyst Position

The Department of Education is seeking a Change Analyst to join their Human Capital Management Solution program. The successful candidate will conduct analyses, identify change impacts and potential risks, and develop interventions to address business impacts.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders to inform the change management strategy.
  • Develop and execute detailed change management plans in coordination with the Change Manager.
  • Participate in the creation and distribution of communications to keep stakeholders informed about program updates.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and planning of training sessions to facilitate adoption of the new HCMS.
  • Track and report change management metrics to evaluate the success of change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Participate in focus groups and workshops to gather feedback and understand resistance to change.
  • Help maintain project documentation related to change management.
  • Manage the change network by engaging and supporting change champions.
  • Facilitate coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to change management.
  • Provide administrative support for change management events and training sessions.
  • Utilise change management tools and methodologies to support activities and initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous learning about the HCMS to maintain a high level of system knowledge.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in change management, preferably in complex ICT-enabled change programs or projects.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and distil complex data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results within tight timeframes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Human Capital Management Systems and the ability to quickly understand their functions and features.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and respond to emerging challenges in the change process.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work within continually changing project scopes and deadlines.
  • Advanced skills in the use of digital analytical tools, such as MS Excel or similar, for data-driven change analysis.
