Payroll Manager Position

As a Payroll Officer with Michael Page, you will be responsible for precise calculation and distribution of pay for employees, maintenance of accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and employment laws, processing of employee benefits and deductions, preparation of financial reports related to payroll, addressing and resolving any payroll-related queries, and continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes.
The Successful ApplicantWe are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer who possesses a strong background in Accounting or Finance, proficiency in payroll software and systems, excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, a strong understanding of payroll tax and employment legislation, and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
What You Will Be Doing- Calculating and distributing employee salaries accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate payroll records and employee data.
- E nsuring compliance with all relevant tax and employment laws.
- Processing employee benefits and deductions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports related to payroll.
- Addressing and resolving any payroll-related queries from employees and management.
- Continuously improving payroll systems and processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of payroll tax and employment legislation.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
