At Mamamia, we're a dynamic and innovative media company dedicated to making the world a better place for women and girls. We're currently seeking enthusiastic students to join our events team as a Social Media Marketing Assistant in an intensive internship program.

Mamamia is a multi-award-winning media company with a reputation for delivering industry-leading events. Our events division spans virtual and in-person events, offering real-world experience in designing, planning, marketing, and executing various event types.

The internship will include:

  • Shadowing a Creative Producer and assisting with daily tasks
  • Contributing to social media brainstorming and planning sessions
  • Creating engaging content and copy for social media using Canva or similar tools
  • Scheduling and distributing content across multiple channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
  • Community management and engagement across all social media groups and pages
  • Managing customer feedback and escalating community issues
  • Responding to direct messages

This unpaid internship offers valuable training in social media strategy and execution, providing opportunities to build contacts within the Mamamia media company.

Average salary range for this role in Australia: $25-$35 per hour.
