Effective Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to support our department in effectively problem solving and resolving issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all paper and electronic records, adhering to operating procedures, developing and drawing reports from relevant systems, quality assuring the work of other staff, and undertaking higher-level user acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining Records: Maintain all paper and electronic records as per established information management principles.
- Adhering to Procedures: Adhere to operating procedures applicable to the work area or business function, instructing and advising staff in complex and unfamiliar policies and procedures.
- Developing Reports: Develop and draw reports from relevant systems, collating, summarizing, and interpreting data to support management decision making.
- Quality Assurance: Quality assure the work of other staff, ensuring data entered is correct and functional for the system, and supporting staff to maintain accuracy and accountability standards.
- User Acceptance Testing: Undertake higher-level user acceptance testing for new systems/processes and procedures, providing valuable feedback and supporting other staff to do the same.
Support the good reputation of your unit and Biosecurity Queensland through all interactions with members of the public, internal, and external stakeholders, and through effective service delivery, such as customer service and advice.
