**Role Overview:** This is a highly demanding position that requires an exceptional professional to lead critical research and policy initiatives aimed at improving responses to sexual offences in Queensland.

This role offers a unique opportunity to direct the work of a Principal Research and Policy Officer, conduct thorough research and analysis into systemic trends and patterns in the reporting, investigation, and prosecution of sexual offences, provide data-driven analysis and develop recommendations for improvements to government policy, practices, procedures and systems, and collaborate closely with stakeholders and oversee governance processes.

You will work with a small team to support the Board's functions, which include reviewing government policy, practices, procedures and systems to identify issues, analyzing data and information held by government entities and non-government entities, making recommendations to the Minister, government entities and non-government entities about improvements to policy, practices, procedures and systems as a result of a review carried out by the Board, and monitoring the implementation of recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to think critically and strategically, and have experience in conducting research and developing policy recommendations. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to build relationships with stakeholders, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
