About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety standards of our mobile mining equipment.

Your primary duties will include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of autonomous haul trucks and ancillary equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.

You will work closely with our maintenance supervisors and other team members to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively. Strong initiative, excellent mechanical expertise, fault finding and diagnostic skills, as well as a commitment to safety and quality, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mobile mining equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other team members to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively

Requirements

  • Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or heavy diesel fitting
  • Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
  • Strong mechanical expertise, fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with 793F & 797F Haul Trucks, 994H Loaders, M Series Graders and D Series Water Carts
  • OEM Experience highly regarded
