Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Moranbah, Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining various mobile equipment, including Graders, Dozers, Haul Trucks, and Excavators.

This is a full-time position with the successful candidate working on-site to ensure the machinery operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs to mobile plant, including heavy earth-moving equipment, trucks, generators, and light vehicles.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults and attending machine breakdowns on site.
  • Liaising with the Fleet Manager and/or Workshop Supervisor to diagnose faults and coordinate parts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Relevant trade qualification in diesel fitting or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in fitting, preferably on heavy earth-moving equipment.
  • Extensive experience working with Caterpillar equipment.
  • Field service experience.
  • Experience working with hydraulics.
  • A reliable, team player with a strong focus on safety and quality.
