About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Mining Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our fleet of mobile mining equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and have a passion for mechanical repairs and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of mobile mining equipment, including excavators, dozers, and shovels.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues with equipment.
  • Develop and implement plans to maintain optimal performance and safety standards across all equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or heavy diesel fitting.
  • Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in a mining maintenance environment.
  • Experience working with Caterpillar and Hitachi equipment highly regarded.
  • OEM experience also beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license (C Class).
  • High levels of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
