As a field maintenance fitter, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance and high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on our fleet of heavy machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Ensure adherence to rigorous safety protocols and contribute to a positive safety culture.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and team members to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
- Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or heavy diesel technology.
- Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in a mining environment, particularly with mobile equipment.
- Experience with Caterpillar 6040/6060 & Hitachi 3600 /5600 Excavators – 6040/6060, Caterpillar 7495 Shovel and D10 & D11 Dozers highly regarded.
- Strong commitment towards quality and reliability.
- High levels of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment.
