Geriatric Medicine OpportunityA clinical leadership position has become available for a highly experienced Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our service as Clinical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of geriatric medicine, working in a state-of-the-art hospital and a supportive, multidisciplinary team.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth care for patients with complex medical needs, including GEM units, Orthogeriatrics, RACF outreach, and specialist clinics.
  • Deliver medical leadership as Clinical Lead, supporting advanced trainees, registrars, and junior doctors.
  • Partner with the Director to drive innovation, including the Geri-Connect program and the new RADAR (Rapid Assessment of the Deteriorating Aged at Risk) service.
Selection Criteria
  • Registration: A qualified medical practitioner registered or eligible for registration as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Geriatric Medicine, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience: Proven 7+ years of clinical experience as a Geriatric Medicine Specialist, with demonstrated capacity to manage clinical, non-clinical, and managerial responsibilities.
