Make a profound impact on NSW public schools as a Strategic Change Enablement Specialist in our newly established Operations Portfolio Management Office (OPMO). We are seeking an experienced change advisor to lead the integration of change enablement functions, driving real differences in education.

We offer a full-time, ongoing opportunity with a competitive salary package, including Clerk Grade 9/10 $116,211-$128,061 (plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading), hybrid working arrangement, and flexible work-life balance.

The Department of Education is Australia's largest provider of public education, responsible for delivering high-quality education to two-thirds of the NSW student population. The OPMO governs and enables best practices, disciplined decision-making, and customer-centered approaches to program and project delivery.

About the Role

As a Senior Change Advisor in this role, you will empower change initiatives through dynamic workstreams, collaborate with stakeholders for effortless implementation, and deliver outstanding outcomes. Your expertise will drive adoption of change, foster engagement, simplify processes, and improve service levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft meticulous change plans and mitigate risk to ensure seamless delivery of change programs.
  • Drive adoption of change and foster high engagement in service delivery.
  • Simplify processes and improve service levels.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various teams and departments to ensure alignment and minimise disruptions during change implementation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Key Knowledge and Experience:

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's values and upholding principles to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in change management activities, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and consultation within a large, complex organization-wide environment.
  • Excellent ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships to support effective change, including influencing internal and external key stakeholders relating to complex and sensitive matters.
