Job Opportunity

We are seeking Regional Assistant Development Coaches to support the Head Development Coach in developing our Victorian Talent Pathway Players.

This role plays a significant part in the Coates Talent League, while developing coaching skills. It is an opportunity to empower and positively impact young talent.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 2 or working towards level 2 AFL Coaching accreditation
  • Passion for individual development of talented players and themselves as a coach
  • Well-developed IT skills
  • Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Sound background and knowledge of coaching principles
  • A valid Working With Children Check

The successful candidate will be committed to working nights and weekends, with a focus on creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Regional Development Coach in planning training and match days
  • Actively drive and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Work with individual players to improve fundamental skills and provide guidance and confidence in their football careers
  • Act as a line coach and oversee educating players under their charge
