Commercial Analyst Role Summary

Our organization is seeking a skilled Commercial Analyst to partner with our finance, operations, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial modeling, data analysis, and business partnering.

This role involves working across state operations and business lines to deliver reporting, analytics, and commercial guidance that supports business strategy and decision-making.

  • Partner with senior leaders and operational teams to drive P&L performance and achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights on business performance and market conditions.
  • Build advanced reporting and analytics capabilities to support day-to-day decisions and long-term planning.
  • Use scenario modeling and business cases to assess investment opportunities and optimize operations.
  • Enhance systems and reporting tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
  • Build financial acumen among non-finance teams and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to simplify complex information and present it in a clear and engaging way.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-6 years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and large data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with tools like PowerBI, TM1, or similar.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a strong work ethic.
