Join a dynamic team as a Fleet Platform Director where you will play a vital part in our company's success. Your role will be to ensure that customers, partners and internal users are provided with the right tools and a seamless experience utilizing a wide variety of technologies across the business.


About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to drive innovation and growth in our fleet platform. You will be responsible for delivering fleet platform products, chartering vessel management, bunker efficiency for TC fleet, energy efficiency, ship manager, compass and star connect to support the digitization journey of fleet, safety and chartering business.

Responsibilities:
  • Set technical standards for teams according to guardrails given by the platform technology leader and/or enterprise architecture team
  • Ensure all products/services are built in alignment with Maersk integration platform architecture tenets and optimized for speed, scalability, and reusability
  • Drive agile and product management principles, platform operating model ways of working
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of key drivers and opportunities within the business
  • Invest, build, and retain highly engaged, diverse, and high-performing engineering teams

Requirements:
You will need a proven background in leading globally distributed teams, setting architecture direction for products with a focus on observability, security, and scalability. Experience in building cloud-native applications in .NET/Java tech stack leveraging microservices-based architecture is also required. Good understanding of CI/CD principles focused on test automation, DevOps culture, and inclination to adopt open-source tech is necessary. Distributed systems, such as distributed computing and exposure to headfirst engineering, design thinking are also essential. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills supported by excellent written and oral communication. A passion for adopting and introducing standard, automated, and repeatable processes to improve operational efficiencies, applications/system uptime, and reduce total cost of ownership is desired. Ability to work across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures is also required.
