This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting and administration skills in a supportive environment.
As Accounts Professional, you will play a key role in providing accounts support across all areas of the business.
- Experience operating a trust account, including term deposits and investments, and being responsible for preparations of QLS Audit requirements with external accountants/auditors.
- Work across various aspects of the accounting system.
- Assist in reconciliations and reporting as required.
- Support entering and payment of creditors as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
- Support financial audits and reviews as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues on fortnightly payroll tasks.
- Identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy, including technology optimization, automation, and standardization.
- Integrate learnings from others to develop the business and team further.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of financial information.
Key Requirements:
- Accounting experience within a professional services firm is required.
- Understanding and experience with QLS Trust account rules and regulations.
- Payroll experience.
- Provide high-quality, proactive, and responsive client service.
- Previous experience with a professional practice management system (preferably Actionstep & Xero) is highly advantageous.
- Be highly organized, able to plan and prioritize work to meet key deadlines.
