About Australian Barnardos Recruitment Services

We are seeking a Child Welfare Specialist to join our team in Sydney. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a competitive salary package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a caseload of children and families, providing case management services to support their needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for each child, working closely with birth parents, foster carers, and other professionals.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for Adoption Approval Panel meetings and Matching meetings, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Liaise with solicitors and barristers, representing the organization in court as needed.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Welfare or a related field.
  • Proven experience in working with children and families, preferably in an Out of Home Care setting.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with ability to produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate case notes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and privacy principles.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team, with ability to engage respectfully with children and families.
