Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Multicultural Child Protection Specialist to join our team in South Western Sydney. As a key member of our Caseworker team, you will be responsible for responding to reports about children or young people who may have been harmed or where there are safety concerns. Your primary focus will always be on ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of the children or young person.

You will work collaboratively with parents, family members, children, or young people, and other agencies to develop safety plans and complete risk assessments. Using your cross-cultural skills and expertise, you will assist families from diverse backgrounds, providing support through primary and secondary casework, cultural consultations, and language assistance when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, along with practical experience;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships;
  • A valid driver's license (P1 or above);
  • A paid Working with Children Clearance number.
