Victim Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Victim Support Specialist to join our dedicated team of professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical support and services to victims of violent crime, empowering them to navigate the justice system and access the resources they need to recover.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities. A strong understanding of trauma-informed care and a commitment to promoting recovery and minimizing secondary victimization is essential.

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to victims of violent crime
  • Assist clients in navigating the justice system and accessing relevant services

  • Collaborate with other victim services and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Qualifications in social work or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a trauma-related field
  • Strong case management and intake skills
