Your role:

We're seeking a customer-oriented engineer to join our team in Brisbane, responsible for servicing QLD/NT and Northern NSW regions. This role will focus on our CT and Ultrasound portfolio. As a key customer-facing representative, you'll be responsible for maintaining and developing robust customer relationships and providing expert technical advice on maintenance, installation, and servicing of our medical equipment (software & hardware) in line with our regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the wider organisation to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Services include corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of equipment and software & hardware upgrades.
  • Contribute to the sales process and provide expert technical support throughout the entire life cycle of our customer relationships (from pre-sales through to implementation and post-sales support).
  • Manage and support technical escalations through to resolution, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on progress according to company process.
  • Provide best-in-class service to customers with technical support, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge through continuous training and development, keeping up-to-date with new technologies relevant to your area of focus and adopting new technologies.
  • The role will primarily be located in Brisbane QLD; however, Philips may require you to work at alternative locations including interstate such as Northern NSW from Tweed Heads to Grafton and NT on an as-needed basis.
  • Be able to work reasonable additional hours outside business hours when necessary to efficiently and effectively carry out the job role as defined by Philips from time to time due to the criticality of the equipment, including on-call support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer-facing service engineering roles, with familiarity with medical equipment like CT and Ultrasound being desirable.
  • Hold a Restricted Electrical License.
  • Hold a degree-level education or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or experience as an Engineer in the Australian Defense Force specializing in Communications Electronics, RADAR, Instrumentation or Avionics.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold a full AU drivers license and possess Australian working rights.
  • Police checks will be required during the onboarding process.
