Job Opportunity

The Product Specialist is a key role in driving sales and revenue growth for laboratory equipment products. Working closely with customers, you will be responsible for qualifying and closing opportunities to meet or exceed operating plans.

As a Product Specialist, you will provide technical and sales support to grow the business profitably and align with commercial strategy. This field-based role supports the sales process by providing competitor and market knowledge, executing commercial strategies, and managing a sales pipeline and process.

You will focus on supporting the Laboratory Equipment portfolio into all market verticals, including Academia & Research, Biotechnology, Healthcare & Clinical, and Government Agencies. To ensure customer needs are met and supported, you will work with cross-functional teams to develop sales and marketing strategies for the product group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Execution: Work closely with new and existing clients to resolve their present and future needs and propose suitable products and services.
  • In conjunction with Sales and Portfolio teams, develop sales and marketing strategies for the product group, identifying new business opportunities for profitable portfolio and business growth.
  • Partner with other Product Specialists and field sales to identify new business opportunities and close sales.
  • Liaise with Product Management to ensure inventory and product forecasting targets are met and customer/marketing expectations are achieved.
  • Help resolve customer technical issues to high customer satisfaction.
  • Attend regular sales meetings and communicate sales issues to the field sales team.
  • Work with internal marketing and product managers to prepare marketing collateral, advertising campaigns, and competitor analysis.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualifications & Experience: Validated results in a technical sales environment, passion for laboratory equipment products, 3+ years' experience in sales, shown excellence in sales.
  • Skills & Attributes: Highly motivated and resourceful individual driven by results, ability to work autonomously and position creative solutions, resilience in long lead time sales, history of outstanding customer follow-up, solution-focused individual able to prioritise time and effort to deliver beyond customer expectations.
