We are seeking a supportive and dedicated individual to join our team as a Therapy Assistant.
About the RoleThis is a casual position based in the community, offering 10 hours per week initially, with potential for growth. The successful candidate will support clients and their families, further their experience in the disability sector, and champion customer independence.
Key Responsibilities- To deliver therapy programs under the guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional, ensuring client goals are met and exceeded.
- To provide emotional support and companionship to clients and their families, enhancing their overall well-being and quality of life.
- To promote customer independence and empower individuals to reach their full potential.
- Allied Health student currently studying or certificate IV in Allied Health.
- Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (minimum Cert III).
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check and QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module training completion.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- A reliable driver's license and vehicle access.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of professional boundaries.
- The capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
