Are you an Allied Health student looking for real world experience in delivering therapy programs? Or perhaps a qualified AHA wanting to further your experience?

About the role

As a Therapy Assistant, you will deliver therapy programs to our clients under the guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional. Programs will include individual and group therapy for clients in a family-centred model.

This is a casual position based locally. You will receive support from therapists both in person and remotely. The initial 10 hours per week are available but may grow based on your capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support clients and their families to achieve their therapy goals with program delivery.
  2. Gain experience in the disability sector while receiving ongoing support from Allied Health Professionals.
  3. Be a champion for our customers supporting them to achieve goals and independence.
Requirements
  1. Allied Health students currently studying or Certificate IV in Allied Health - or;
  2. Fully qualified Allied Health Assistant (min Cert III).
  3. Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check and QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
  4. Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module training.
  5. Current First Aid and CPR.
  6. Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  7. Well-developed interpersonal skills and understanding of professional boundaries and scope of practice.
  8. Capacity to assist autonomously.
